One of the strangest things that ever happened to me was in April 1982. I was 14. I was on a school trip and was sent home early. The BBC were there to report on it.
When I got to London there was no one home, they were all in Ireland. There were no mobile phones then and there was no way I could reach them, so I had to go and live with a friend.
